HR and H&S Manager
We are seeking an experienced and versatile HR & Health Safety Manager to join our growing powered access equipment rental business. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional with strong expertise in both HR and H&S, capable of managing all aspects of people operations and workplace safety in a small company environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring compliance, driving culture, and supporting business growth across UK operations. HR Functions Manage full employee lifecycle including recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding Handle employee relations matters including grievances, disciplinaries, and performance management Develop, update, and implement HR policies in line with UK employment legislation Lead performance review processes and support managers with employee development Manage HR data, records, and reporting using HRIS system Coordinate payroll in conjunction with the finance team Advise leadership on workforce planning, talent management, and organisational change Health & Safety Functions Develop, implement, and maintain the company Health & Safety policy and procedures Conduct risk assessments across all operational areas and ensure controls are in place Lead incident investigation, reporting, and implement corrective actions Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and manage external audits Conduct workplace inspections and promote a positive safety culture What we're looking for: CIPD Level 5 or above qualification NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent H&S qualification 3+ years of experience in a combined HR & H&S role or similar Strong knowledge of UK employment law and H&S legislation Proven experience managing employee relations and complex HR cases Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities High level of discretion, integrity, and confidentiality 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year Application question(s): List 2/3 dates of availability for interview Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (preferred) Work Location: In person
