Food Republic is one of London's leading food and drink distributors, supplying over 500 customer sites across London and the South East. With BRC AA+ accreditation, a reputation for exceptional service, and strong year-on-year growth, we're looking for an experienced and proactive HR Advisor to join our Battersea team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious HR professional who wants to take ownership of the day-to-day HR function, work closely with senior management and develop their experience towards becoming an HR Business Partner . You'll gain exposure across the full employee lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding through to employee relations, performance, development and engagement, while helping us continuously improve our people processes and culture. What You'll Be Doing Working closely with our Managing Director, senior management team and Department Managers, you will: Provide practical HR advice and guidance to managers across the business Support employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management Attend and support formal HR meetings where required Manage recruitment campaigns, job advertising and support managers throughout the hiring process Coordinate onboarding and induction programmes for new starters Manage probation reviews, employee check-ins and exit interviews Support employee development and training initiatives Maintain our HR system, Citation, ensuring employee records and documentation remain accurate and compliant Keep HR policies, procedures and documentation up to date Support the business with employment law updates and HR best practice Coordinate monthly payroll information with Department Managers, including employee changes and KPI bonuses Support employee engagement, company events, celebrations and recognition initiatives Help develop and improve HR processes, policies and ways of working Build strong relationships across the business and develop towards taking a more strategic HR Business Partner role as your experience grows What We're Looking For Minimum 3 years' experience in an HR Advisor, HR Generalist or similar role Hands-on experience supporting employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance management Good understanding of UK employment legislation and HR best practice Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail Confident and professional communication skills Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively with employees and managers at all levels Confidence working independently and taking ownership of a varied HR workload A practical, proactive and solutions-focused approach A genuine ambition to develop into an HR Business Partner role Desirable CIPD Level 5 qualified or working towards qualification Experience within logistics, distribution, warehousing, food, retail, hospitality or another fast-paced operational environment Experience using Citation or a similar HR management system Experience coordinating payroll information Experience working directly with senior management Why Join Food Republic?
