Housekeeping Manager - Hospital
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Housekeeping Manager to lead the environmental services department for a prestigious hospital in Riyadh. The primary purpose of this role is to plan, organize, and direct the overall housekeeping operations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and patient safety are maintained across all clinical and non-clinical areas. You will be responsible for managing the housekeeping team, overseeing all cleaning protocols, and ensuring strict compliance with infection prevention and control standards and hospital accreditation requirements. Key Responsibilities Manage the daily housekeeping operations across the entire hospital, including patient rooms, operating theaters, clinical areas, ICUs, emergency departments, public spaces, and administrative offices. Supervise, schedule, and support a team of housekeeping supervisors and frontline staff, including recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, and performance management. Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for all housekeeping staff on cleaning protocols, infection-control procedures, proper equipment usage, chemical handling, and safe work methods. Conduct regular inspections and quality audits of all cleaned areas to ensure compliance with hospital hygiene, health and safety, and QHSE policies. Manage the inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and linen services, including procurement, stock control, and cost optimization. Develop, monitor, and manage the department's operating budget, tracking expenditures and implementing cost-saving measures where possible. Act as the primary liaison between the housekeeping department and nursing, facilities management, infection control, and other clinical departments to coordinate seamless service delivery. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), prepare operational and performance reports for senior management, and implement corrective action plans to drive continuous improvement. Investigate and resolve patient, staff, or visitor complaints related to cleanliness or housekeeping services in a timely and professional manner. Manage the allocation and maintenance of housekeeping equipment, ensuring all machinery is in good working order and staff are trained on safe operation. Oversee the management of female staff accommodation facilities, including cleanliness, maintenance, and staff welfare, as required. Candidate Requirements Minimum of 5–8 years of progressive housekeeping experience, with a proven track record in a supervisory or managerial role. Essential: Previous housekeeping experience in a hospital or healthcare facility is a must . Strong knowledge of hospital hygiene, infection prevention practices, and healthcare accreditation standards. Excellent leadership, planning, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multi-site or large-scale operations is an advantage. Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Facility Management, Healthcare Management, or a related field is preferred. Fluent in Arabic and English, both written and spoken. Willing to relocate to Riyadh and available to join immediately or within a short notice period. Pay: ﷼10,000.00 - ﷼13,000.00 per month Application Question(s): Are you available immediately?
