HoloBuilder Specialist

DRAWLINES ENGINEERING CONSULT is seeking an experienced 360° Photography Surveyor (HoloBuilder Specialist) to support remote construction progress monitoring and digital site documentation for a major construction project in Qatar.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting regular 360° photographic surveys, capturing construction progress, uploading and organizing visual records using HoloBuilder or equivalent reality-capture platforms, and ensuring accurate documentation of all active construction areas.

The role will support remote project stakeholders, including engineers, consultants, and clients, by providing updated visual records and virtual site walkthroughs throughout the project duration.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled 360° photographic surveys across all active construction areas using professional 360° cameras such as Ricoh Theta, Insta360, or compatible devices.
• Plan and maintain systematic photo capture routes to ensure complete site coverage, including interior, exterior, MEP, and restricted-access areas.
• Upload, pin, align, and organize captured photographs within the HoloBuilder platform against relevant floor plans, levels, zones, and capture dates.
• Tag photographs with accurate project metadata, including date, location, work package, discipline, and construction milestones.
• Maintain consistent weekly photographic documentation to establish a reliable construction progress history.
• Coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and QA/QC teams to identify priority areas requiring photographic documentation.
• Capture critical construction stages, including pre-pour activities, pre-close-up inspections, snagging, defect areas, and milestone completions.
• Visually monitor construction progress against project schedules and highlight discrepancies or potential delays to the project team.
• Ensure uploaded photographic documentation is properly organized and accessible to remote engineers, consultants, and clients.
• Support integration of HoloBuilder documentation with BIM and project management platforms such as Autodesk BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
• Prepare periodic visual progress reports, screenshots, and documentation exports for management reviews and client updates.
• Maintain 360° cameras, tripods, stabilizers, mobile devices, and other survey equipment in good working condition.
• Ensure proper backup, archiving, and management of captured photographic data throughout the project duration.
• Follow all project-specific site safety, access control, confidentiality, and data management requirements.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Surveying, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in construction site documentation, surveying, or construction progress monitoring.
• Hands-on experience with HoloBuilder or similar 360° reality-capture platforms is strongly preferred.
• Experience using platforms such as Matterport, StructionSite, or OpenSpace will be an advantage.
• Familiarity with construction drawings, floor plans, site layouts, and construction sequencing.
• Experience working on large-scale building, infrastructure, industrial, or construction projects is preferred.
• Ability to conduct independent site photography surveys and maintain consistent documentation schedules.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in operating 360° cameras and associated photographic capture software.
• Working knowledge of HoloBuilder, including image uploads, floor plan alignment, photo pin placement, tagging, and reporting.
• Basic understanding of construction activities, sequencing, and technical terminology.
• Familiarity with mobile applications, cloud-based platforms, data uploads, and basic equipment troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace for reporting and documentation.
• Knowledge of Autodesk BIM 360 / ACC will be an added advantage.

• Complete all mandatory site safety inductions and required certifications before accessing the site.
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Comply with project-specific HSE procedures, site access controls, confidentiality, and data-handling requirements.

Project Deliverables

• Regular and dated 360° photographic documentation covering all active construction areas.
• Fully organized HoloBuilder project space with photographs pinned and aligned to the latest floor plans and site zones.
• Periodic visual construction progress reports and documentation exports.
• Complete and backed-up photographic archive to support progress verification, claims documentation, and project close-out records.
