This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who can inspire students through engaging and challenging History lessons, while helping them develop a strong understanding of historical events, people and societies. The Role As a History Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality History lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. Inspire students and develop their enthusiasm for History. Prepare students effectively for GCSE examinations where required. Assess and monitor student progress, providing appropriate feedback and support. Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners. Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management. Work collaboratively with colleagues within the History department and across the school. Contribute to the wider life and activities of the school. Follow all school policies relating to safeguarding, behaviour and professional conduct. About You The successful candidate will ideally: Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Have experience teaching History within a secondary school setting. Have strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for History. Be confident delivering lessons across KS3 and KS4. Have excellent classroom management and communication skills. Be able to motivate and engage students of varying abilities. Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. Hold a valid Enhanced DBS, ideally on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one. Be able to provide suitable references and evidence of eligibility to work in the UK. What We Offer £160–£270 per day, depending on experience and qualifications.
