The role supports daily operations by monitoring risks, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring regulatory compliance specific to early years settings in Abu Dhabi. Key Responsibilities:1. Compliance & Local Regulation Ensure full compliance with UAE Health and Safety regulations, ADEK guidelines, Civil Defence, and MOH requirements. Maintain up-to-date records required by local authorities and assist with inspections. 2. Daily Health & Safety Oversight Conduct daily walkthroughs to identify hazards and ensure safety measures are in place (e.g., childproofing, fire safety, first aid readiness). Monitor classroom, playground, kitchen, and restroom safety. 3. Policy Implementation Enforce Kids First Group’s health and safety policies and procedures at the nursery level. Support the Nursery Manager in updating and communicating protocols to all staff. 4. Risk Assessment & Incident Management Carry out regular risk assessments and ensure follow-up actions are taken. Maintain an incident/accident log and report all issues to the Nursery Manager promptly. 5. Emergency Preparedness Conduct routine fire drills and emergency evacuation exercises. Ensure first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and safety signage are regularly checked and maintained. 6. Staff Training & Awareness Support staff onboarding and refresher training on health and safety protocols. Promote a safety-first culture within the nursery team. 7. Hygiene & Infection Control Monitor daily cleaning and sanitization practices across all areas. Ensure compliance with infection control standards, especially in coordination with the nurse or clinic team. Requirements: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field. NEBOSH / IOSH or other relevant certification. Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a school or nursery environment. Familiarity with ADEK and Civil Defense regulations. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Fluency in English; Arabic is a plus. Work Location: In person
