The successful candidate will work closely with the site management and construction teams to promote a strong safety culture, ensure compliance with Irish health and safety legislation, and support the safe delivery of the project from start to finish. Job Description Provide health and safety support and advice to the Site Management and wider construction team. Carry out regular site inspections, audits and safety observations, identifying hazards and recommending appropriate corrective actions. Monitor compliance with company health and safety procedures, project-specific requirements and relevant Irish legislation. Assist with the preparation, review and implementation of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS). Support the development and implementation of Construction Phase Plans and project safety documentation. Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks and training as required. Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences, ensuring appropriate follow-up actions are implemented. Monitor subcontractor health and safety performance and ensure safe systems of work are being followed. Maintain accurate health and safety records, inspection reports and documentation. Assist with emergency planning, drills and site safety initiatives. Promote a positive safety culture across the project and encourage proactive hazard reporting. Liaise with site management, subcontractors, consultants and other relevant stakeholders on health and safety matters. Keep up to date with changes in health and safety legislation, industry best practice and project requirements. Provide practical, solutions-focused advice to ensure construction activities are completed safely and efficiently. Requirements Relevant qualification in Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Construction Safety or a related discipline. Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role within the construction industry. Previous experience working on large-scale residential, commercial or civil construction projects. Strong knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation and construction industry requirements. Good understanding of RAMS, site inspections, audits, incident investigation and safety documentation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with site teams and subcontractors. Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to work independently while also being an effective member of a wider project team. Proactive approach to identifying risks and implementing practical control measures.
