The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and restaurant service, with a passion for creating a welcoming atmosphere. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your leadership skills while ensuring smooth service operations in a dynamic dining environment. Duties - Supervise and support the serving team to ensure high standards of guest service are maintained at all times - Take responsibility for coordinating table assignments and managing reservations efficiently - Assist with food and beverage service, ensuring orders are accurate and delivered promptly - Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while providing knowledgeable recommendations to guests - Ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene standards across the restaurant - Oversee the organisation of dining areas, maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards - Support with food preparation tasks as needed, including basic garnishing and presentation - Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally and courteously - Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure seamless communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams - Train and mentor junior staff members to uphold service excellence Requirements - Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service, ideally in a supervisory or head server role - Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling - Experience with food preparation, culinary techniques, or kitchen operations is advantageous - Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods - Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour - Basic maths skills for handling bills, payments, and upselling transactions accurately - Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail - Good understanding of upselling techniques to enhance guest experience and maximise revenue - Previous experience in hospitality management or supervisory roles is preferred but not essential This position offers an engaging environment where your leadership qualities and passion for hospitality can truly shine.
