# Head of Secondary School (from the 2027/28 school year) **Lutheran Academy** · New Territories · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 4 дня назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role Posted on 14/10/2026 Job Description The Head of Secondary School, with the rank of Assistant Principal, plays a pivotal role in supporting and reporting to the Chief Principal in managing the total operation of the Secondary School (Year 7 to 12) of ELCHK Lutheran Academy, in the four domains namely the management & organization, learning & teaching, school ethos & student support and the student performance, based on the School’s vision and mission operated under the Direct Subsidy Scheme (DSS) through-train mode. He/ She is responsible for the relationship and interaction of the students, staff and parents. Implicit in the role of Head of Secondary School is involvement in campus-wide initiatives, responsibilities, events and programmes. The Head of Secondary School is supported by the Programme Coordinators in their roles. The Head of Secondary School will ultimately be evaluated on a combination of skills, dispositions and behaviors, some of which are related to the specific service area of this position and others that represent general expectations of all employees. Qualifications and Skills - Hold a recognized Bachelor Degree or above, with professional qualifications in education; Master Degree in educational administration an added advantage; - Possess a minimum of 5 years of leadership experiences in education field, with working experience in through-train / DSS school / international education institutions / government is a significant advantage; - Possess knowledge and experience with local and international school protocols; - Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with individuals at all levels in a culturally-diversified environment; - Highly communicative, diplomatic, self-disciplined, result-oriented, open-minded, creative, flexible with high level of integrity and is able to work under pressure with tight timelines; - Demonstrate a solid understanding and experience in pastoral care and inclusive education; - Experienced in working with diverse teaching populations, in bilingual working environments is preferred; - Exhibit strong connections with local and overseas universities with proven records of partnership is preferred; - Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in English, with bilingual and trilingual proficiency (English, Cantonese and Putonghua) is preferred; - Passed the Basic Law and National Security Law Test as required by the EDB.
