HEAD OF PROJECT DELIVERY

Windsor-based with nationwide travel

Full-time, permanent

£85,000–£110,000 per year, dependent on experience

Structural Repair Solutions Ltd is looking for an experienced construction leader to oversee delivery across our UK projects, from smaller specialist repairs to major schemes.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead our project managers, supervisors and site teams. You will be accountable for delivering safe, high-quality, profitable projects on programme and to our customers’ satisfaction.

This is a business-wide leadership role. You will give teams clear direction, resolve problems early and take ownership of day-to-day delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Own delivery from estimating handover through mobilisation, construction, completion and customer handover.
• Establish realistic programmes, budgets and resource plans, ensuring scope, specifications, access and client responsibilities are clear before work starts.
• Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors where required.
• Lead and develop project managers and supervisors, setting clear expectations and holding them accountable for results.
• Monitor progress, costs and forecast margins, addressing problems early and escalating significant risks with practical solutions.
• Control variations, ensuring additional work is identified, evidenced, priced and authorised in writing before proceeding.
• Work with SHEQ and technical colleagues to maintain appropriate RAMS, competent teams, safe working arrangements and effective quality checks.
• Build strong client relationships and provide clear, timely communication.
• Ensure accurate project reporting, inspection records, valuations and completion documentation.
• Improve delivery processes and use technology to reduce administration and strengthen visibility of performance.

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience leading a portfolio of construction or civil engineering projects through project managers and site teams.
• Strong commercial understanding, including cost control, resource planning and protecting project margins.
• Confidence interpreting drawings, specifications, programmes and contractual requirements.
• Clear leadership, sound judgement and the ability to make decisions and follow them through.
• A practical approach, with the ability to delegate effectively rather than personally manage every task.
• Specialist structural repair, concrete repair or regulated infrastructure experience would be valuable. We can support the right construction leader in developing knowledge of our specialist systems.
• Relevant construction-management and safety qualifications; SMSTS and an appropriate CSCS card are desirable.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationwide.
