Head of Operations – Corporate Events Department: Operations Reports To: Director / Managing Director Location: Bengaluru Shift: Day shift Employment Type: Full-Time Experience: 10–15+ Years in Corporate Event Management / Event Production Role Overview The Head of Operations is responsible for leading the complete Operations function of the organization, ensuring seamless planning, execution, quality control, profitability, and operational excellence across all corporate events. The role involves strategic planning, departmental leadership, resource management, vendor partnerships, budgeting, process improvement, and client satisfaction while managing multiple projects simultaneously. Key Responsibilities Operations Leadership Lead the Operations Department and manage multiple event projects simultaneously. Develop operational strategies, SOPs, workflows, and execution standards. Ensure timely delivery of projects while maintaining quality and profitability. Drive continuous process improvements and operational efficiency. Production Planning & Execution Review and approve production plans, BOQs, event layouts, technical requirements, and execution schedules. Oversee fabrication, technical production, branding installations, logistics, and event infrastructure. Ensure execution standards are maintained across all projects. Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and develop Operations Managers and Operations Executives. Allocate manpower and resources across projects. Conduct performance reviews, training, and succession planning. Budget & Financial Management Approve project budgets and vendor costs. Monitor project profitability and operational expenses. Optimize resource utilization while maintaining quality standards. Vendor & Partner Management Develop Negotiate commercial agreements and approve vendor selection. Monitor vendor performance and quality standards. Client & Venue Coordination Participate in key client meetings during project planning. Review venue feasibility, operational planning, and execution strategy. Resolve critical operational escalations. Risk Management & Compliance Ensure compliance with venue guidelines, safety standards, and statutory requirements. Develop contingency plans and crisis management procedures. Ensure operational risks are proactively managed. Innovation & Process Improvement Introduce new production technologies, event innovations, and operational improvements. Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency. Repo Review project reports and operational KPIs. Present department performance and profitability reports to the Director. Conduct post-event reviews and implement corrective actions. Requirements 10–15+ years of experience in corporate events/event production. Proven experience in a senior operations or production leadership role. Strong knowledge of event production, fabrication, technical execution, logistics, and vendor management . Strong budgeting, negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Project/Event Management certification is an advantage. Willingness to travel for event execution and site visits. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Event Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. Professional certifications in Project Management or Event Management are preferred.
