This is a senior operational leadership position for someone who knows the private sector domestic energy efficiency market, understands what it takes to deliver complex programmes successfully, and enjoys being at the heart of building something that has a genuine impact. About the opportunity This isn't simply a role focused on overseeing projects. You'll be joining a business with ambitious plans for its private sector offering, with the opportunity to shape how operations are delivered, develop teams, influence strategy and help establish the organisation as a leading provider of domestic energy efficiency and decarbonisation solutions. Working closely with the senior leadership team, you'll have responsibility for overseeing multiple contracts from tender and mobilisation through to completion and defects, ensuring projects are delivered safely, commercially and to the highest possible standards. You'll be someone who is comfortable moving between the strategic and the operational — whether that's discussing growth plans with senior stakeholders, supporting project and commercial teams, resolving delivery challenges or ensuring the right people and resources are in place across multiple schemes. What you'll be doing - Take overall operational responsibility for multiple private sector domestic decarbonisation schemes from tender through to final completion and defects. - Lead and develop Project Management, Technical and Installation teams, creating a strong culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance. - Manage resource planning across a varied portfolio of projects, ensuring teams have the capability and support required to deliver successfully. - Work closely with senior directors to develop and continually improve the private sector delivery model. - Identify opportunities to improve operational performance, commercial outcomes and customer experience. - Provide operational leadership and insight into tenders, mobilisation and new business opportunities. - Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, supply chain partners and internal teams. - Represent the business at internal and external stakeholder meetings and industry events. - Present solutions, opportunities and operational strategies to senior management. - Play a significant role in protecting and enhancing the company's commercial performance, reputation and client relationships. - Help position the organisation as a leading provider of domestic energy efficiency and decarbonisation works within the private sector. About you We're looking for an experienced operational leader who can bring both technical understanding and commercial awareness to the role. You'll ideally have a strong track record within the Private Sector Domestic Energy Efficiency Market, with experience managing teams and delivering programmes across a large geographical area. You'll also bring: - Proven experience in a senior management or operational leadership position within private sector domestic energy efficiency. - Strong financial and commercial awareness. - Excellent negotiation, influencing and stakeholder management skills. - A good working knowledge of PAS 2035, PAS 2030:2023 and MCS standards . - Experience leading teams working within these regulatory frameworks. - Up-to-date knowledge of relevant building legislation and compliance requirements. - Professional certification or relevant experience in contract management. - The ability to operate confidently across a large geographical area. - Strong leadership skills, with the ability to bring people with you through change and growth.
