Position Summary: ABOUT THE ROLE The Head of Collection/ Operations will provide overall leadership and strategic direction for the company’s debt collections operations in the Philippines. The role is accountable for meeting collection and recovery targets, optimizing operational performance, and effectively managing internal teams and external collection partners. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL: Lead and oversee collections operations to consistently achieve monthly collection and recovery targets, optimize operational performance, and ensure effective utilization of resources. Develop and implement collection strategies that maximize recoveries while ensuring compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and ethical collection practices. Plan, optimize, and manage daily collection operations , covering both internal and external collection activities, workflows, and processes. Monitor and analyze collection performance , identify trends and gaps, and implement appropriate actions to improve productivity, efficiency, and recovery results. Review and approve collection processes and procedures to ensure they remain effective, compliant, and aligned with business requirements and standards. Lead, coach, and develop the collections team , providing clear direction, performance feedback, and support to drive accountability and continuous improvement. Be accountable for forecasting and determining workforce requirements, ensuring staffing levels, workforce allocation, and team capabilities are aligned with collection volumes, business requirements, and operational targets. Maintain a visible and accessible leadership presence , address operational and employee concerns, motivate the team, and foster a performance-driven work environment. Prepare and present regular management reports on collection performance, productivity, recovery results, key issues, and improvement initiatives. Collaborate with senior management and key stakeholders to maintain effective communication, address business needs, and drive continuous improvement and innovation. Perform other reports, analyses, and documentation as required by the direct supervisor. WHAT YOU BRING: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or a related field. 8–10 years of progressive experience in Collections Operations, preferably within the financial services, banking, non-banking, or BPO/call center industry, with significant experience in a leadership or operations management role. Strong end-to-end collections experience, with demonstrated exposure to managing accounts across the Live/Current through Non-Performing Asset (NPA) stages, preferably across multiple financial institutions. Broad product knowledge covering Credit Cards, Personal Loans, Digital Personal Loans, and other consumer lending products. Proven experience in leading high-volume, target-driven collections operations, with accountability for collection performance, productivity, recoveries, and operational efficiency. Strong understanding of collections systems, tools, workflows, and operational processes, including internal and outsourced/external collection operations. Solid knowledge of financial services regulations, compliance requirements, risk management, quality assurance, and ethical collection practices. Demonstrated ability to analyze operational and collection data, identify performance gaps, and translate insights into actionable strategies and process improvements. Strong workforce and capacity planning capabilities, including forecasting staffing requirements, optimizing resource allocation, and aligning workforce capacity with collection volumes and business targets. Proven people leadership and team development experience, including coaching, performance management, and building high-performing teams. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management and cross-functional stakeholders.
