We're currently recruiting for an experienced Head of Large Format Print to join a well established print company based in South London.

This is a great opportunity for someone who really knows large format printing inside out and is looking for a role where they can take ownership of a department, make decisions and still be heavily involved in the day-to-day production.

We're not looking for someone who just wants to sit behind a desk managing people. This is a very hands on position , where you'll be leading a small team whilst getting stuck into printing and ensuring jobs are completed to a high standard.

The Role

• Overseeing the day-to-day running of the large format print department.
• Managing and supporting a small team of printers and production staff.
• Operating large format printing equipment, including SwissQprint and HP Latex printers.
• Taking ownership of jobs from initial production planning right through to completion.
• Deciding the best way to produce jobs, including machinery, materials and production methods.
• Organising workloads, prioritising jobs and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Troubleshooting production issues and making decisions to keep jobs moving.
• Maintaining high standards of print quality and efficiency.
• Working closely with other departments to ensure a smooth production process.

What We're Looking For

• Strong hands on experience within large format printing is essential.
• Good technical knowledge of large format printers, substrates, materials and production processes.
• Experience operating flatbed and roll-to-roll printing machinery.
• Someone confident making decisions and solving problems independently.
• Ability to organise production workloads and see jobs through from start to finish.
• Previous supervisory or management experience would be beneficial.
• A proactive, hands on attitude and willingness to lead by example.

We're happy to consider an experienced Large Format Print Manager or a Senior Large Format Printer who's ready to take the next step into management.

The most important thing is finding someone who really understands large format production, can take responsibility and isn't afraid to get stuck in.
