The Head of Events will oversee event sales, coordination, recruitment, and operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, profitability, and adherence to company standards. Role Description: As the Head of Events at Xenia Venues, you will have full responsibility for the end-to-end management of all event activities. This includes sales, event planning, operations, staffing, bar management, and wedding sales. You will be tasked with leading a team to achieve business goals, drive profitability, and ensure client satisfaction across all events. In this senior role, you will play a key part in the recruitment, training, and development of staff, as well as ensuring the seamless execution of high-quality events. Responsibilities: - Leadership and Strategy: - Lead the Events, Wedding Sales, and Bar teams to ensure efficient planning and flawless execution of all events. - Align event strategies with the broader business objectives to drive growth and maximize profitability. - Provide clear direction and guidance to the events team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment. - Event Operations Management: - Oversee all event operations, including staffing, equipment, service quality, bar management, and overall guest experience. - Ensure venues are always ready for events, coordinating logistics to ensure smooth operations and contingency planning. - Manage multiple events simultaneously, ensuring they meet quality standards and client expectations. - Sales and Coordination: - Take ownership of wedding and event sales, driving new bookings and managing relationships with potential and existing clients. - Conduct venue tours, showcasing the space and securing bookings. - Lead the coordination of events, including timelines, vendor management, and the effective use of venue spaces. - Financial Management: - Manage the financial performance of events, including hitting budgets, controlling costs, and achieving profitability targets. - Track sales performance, future bookings, and revenue generation against business plans and KPIs. - Ensure venue and event costs, including bar and catering, align with financial objectives. - Recruitment, Training, and Development: - Oversee the recruitment of staff for weddings, bar services, and events, ensuring a high level of talent acquisition. - Develop training programs to continuously enhance service delivery and staff expertise, ensuring team growth and retention. - Foster a culture of high performance, motivating the team to deliver outstanding service and guest satisfaction. - Client and Guest Experience: - Ensure every event delivers an exceptional guest experience, managing all aspects of customer service and communication. - Actively gather feedback from clients to maintain high levels of satisfaction and implement improvements when needed. - Address client queries and concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring the seamless execution of events. - Bar and Beverage Operations: - Oversee bar operations, ensuring the bar is well-stocked, staff are well-trained, and compliance with licensing laws is maintained. - Manage bar profitability, working with vendors and suppliers to ensure high-quality beverages and service. - Compliance and Safety: - Ensure all events comply with local and industry regulations, including food safety, fire safety, and health standards. - Lead company audits and ensure venues meet all legal requirements. - Marketing and Growth: - Collaborate with the marketing team to develop event promotion strategies, helping to increase event bookings and brand exposure. - Identify opportunities for new revenue streams, including partnerships, sponsorships, or new event offerings. - Innovation and Continuous Improvement: - Constantly seek ways to improve event operations, enhance service offerings, and implement innovative ideas. - Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices, integrating new concepts to enhance the venue’s offerings.
