In this role, you will manage contractual matters across international grid control projects, mitigating risks, protecting Siemens’ commercial interests and supporting successful project delivery. Reporting to the Head of PMO Grid Software Solutions, you will oversee contract management from tender through project execution and closeout, working closely with project teams, customers, Legal and Finance. Location: Spain (Madrid), Türkiye (Istanbul) or India (Thane). You Will Make an Impact - Ensure contractual compliance and proactively manage risks across the Grid Control portfolio. - Protect project profitability through claim management, change negotiations and dispute resolution. - Support project managers and regional teams with contractual guidance and strategic claim positioning. - Lead contract governance, risk monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives. - Strengthen customer relationships through transparent and solution-oriented contract management. Key Responsibilities - Manage contracts throughout the project lifecycle, from tender to closeout. - Review, negotiate and finalize contracts in line with Siemens standards and risk appetite. - Identify, assess and negotiate claims, variations, change orders and contract amendments. - Develop AI-based and automated contract review processes in collaboration with IT. - Conduct contract risk assessments and maintain contract, claim, risk and opportunity documentation. - Coordinate with customers, suppliers, Legal and internal stakeholders on contractual matters and disputes. - Support bid/no-bid decisions, tender reviews and project teams with contractual guidance. - Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and Siemens policies. Key Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Law or a related field. - A master’s degree or certification such as PMP, FIDIC or NEC is an advantage. - 5–7 years in contract and/or claim management, ideally in energy, grid solutions or software/IT projects. - Experience managing complex international contracts and claims. - Knowledge of FIDIC, NEC or similar contractual frameworks. - Experience in Grid Control, SCADA, EMS or grid software is highly desirable. Skills - Strong contractual, analytical, negotiation and commercial skills. - Excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving abilities. - Proficiency in MS Office and contract management tools; SAP experience is an advantage. - Fluent English and German are required. Additional languages are a plus. - Knowledge of international commercial law, arbitration and Siemens compliance standards is beneficial.
