Our mission is to empower young leaders (ages 6–19) through entrepreneurship, leadership development, and wellness programs. We provide mentorship, hands-on markets, and platforms that prepare youth to become tomorrow’s leaders  . Role: Communications Committee Chair (Volunteer) We are seeking a Communications Committee Chair to guide YBIB’s communications strategy and support our youth leaders in amplifying their voices, building community engagement, and promoting youth-driven initiatives. Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage the Communications Committee, including monthly meetings. - Oversee communications campaigns (social media, press releases, newsletters) - Develop strategic messaging aligned with YBIB’s mission and programs. - Mentor youth and interns in communications and digital media. - Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board for aligned messaging. - Support PR outreach and represent YBIB at community/media opportunities. - Complete a Vulnerable Sector Check (cost reimbursed). Qualifications: - Background in communications, marketing, PR, or digital media. - Strong writing, editing, and content creation skills. - Confident leading meetings and delegating tasks. - Familiar with Google Drive, Canva, Zoom, Trello, Instagram, etc. - Must be 18+ years old. - Commitment to YBIB’s values of youth empowerment and professionalism. - If 25+ and not a student, a $50 annual donation is encouraged to support YBIB programs.
