Head of Business Development – Renewable Energy (Solar PV / PLTS)

About the Company

We are looking for an experienced and strategic Head of Business Development to lead the growth of our Renewable Energy business, particularly in Solar Photovoltaic (PLTS) and integrated energy solutions in Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute business plans for utility-scale solar PV, Commercial & Industrial (C&I) solar PV, and integrated energy solutions.
• Build and lead the Renewable Energy Project Development and Business Development teams from the ground up.
• Establish and maintain strategic relationships with PLN entities, IPPs, industrial parks, mining companies, and major C&I customers.
• Identify and develop opportunities for solar PV EPC and energy storage projects.
• Support customer assessments, business needs analysis, and preliminary project feasibility studies.
• Coordinate with technical, investment, financing, legal, and project execution teams throughout the project development process.
• Lead strategic partnerships with local Indonesian solar PV equipment suppliers and negotiate cooperation agreements.
• Monitor project contract values, development progress, commercial performance, and investment returns.
• Monitor Indonesian renewable energy policies, RUPTL, electricity procurement regulations, licensing procedures, and local content requirements (TKDN).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Energy Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in photovoltaic (PV), renewable energy, or new energy project development.
• Extensive experience in the energy, electricity, or infrastructure sectors.
• Must have held senior management positions within PLN, IPP developers, solar PV companies, energy investment institutions, or EPC companies.
• Strong established professional networks within Indonesia's renewable energy sector, including clients, government institutions, and strategic partners.
• Proven track record in successfully developing and delivering utility-scale or C&I solar PV projects, from initial development and approvals through financing and contract signing.
• Strong understanding of Indonesian renewable energy policies, RUPTL, electricity procurement, Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), and project licensing procedures.
• Proven ability to establish business frameworks, build teams, and develop business operations from scratch.
• Strong commercial negotiation, investment assessment, risk management, and strategic planning capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in energy storage systems (BESS) and integrated energy solutions.
• Strong relationships with local solar PV suppliers, EPC contractors, and relevant government stakeholders.
• Experience in project financing and investment structuring.
