As Head Bartender, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily running of the bar, ensuring exceptional service standards, maintaining product quality, and supporting the development of the bar team. You will lead by example, creating memorable guest experiences while demonstrating extensive knowledge of beverages, cocktails, wines, and spirits. Key Responsibilities - Lead and supervise the bar team, ensuring exceptional guest service at all times - Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to the highest standards - Ensure consistency in drink presentation, quality, and service - Train, coach, and support bartenders to develop their skills and product knowledge - Create a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for guests - Manage bar stock levels, ordering, inventory control, and minimise wastage - Ensure the bar area remains clean, organised, fully stocked, and visually appealing - Monitor compliance with alcohol licensing laws and age-verification procedures - Ensure all Health & Safety, Food Safety, and company policies are followed - Handle guest enquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally and efficiently - Support management in driving sales and achieving commercial targets - Develop and maintain extensive knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails, beers, and Fortnum & Mason products - Work collaboratively with front-of-house, kitchen, and management teams to ensure smooth operations - Act as a role model and brand ambassador for Fortnum & Mason at all times
