Head Barista – Speciality Coffee

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Head Barista to lead our barista team and deliver consistently excellent coffee and customer service. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive technical knowledge and a passion for speciality coffee.

Speciality coffee experience is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily coffee bar operations, ensuring consistent beverage quality and efficient service.
• Train, coach and supervise baristas in coffee preparation, presentation and customer service.
• Monitor espresso extraction, grinder calibration, milk texturing, latte art and brewing methods.
• Maintain approved recipes and support the development of seasonal beverages.
• Manage stock levels of coffee beans, milk and bar supplies, coordinating orders to prevent shortages and minimise waste.
• Oversee equipment cleaning, routine care and maintenance reporting.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety and workstation organisation.
• Handle customer feedback professionally and resolve coffee quality concerns.
• Scheduling and performance evaluations.
• Work with management to improve service standards, promote products and achieve sales targets.

Requirements

• Minimum 5-7 years of barista experience , with proven experience in a Head Barista or supervisory role.
• Previous experience in speciality coffee is essential.
• Strong knowledge of coffee beans, espresso extraction, manual brewing methods, milk texturing and latte art.
• Excellent leadership, communication and staff training skills.
• Ability to maintain quality and service standards during busy periods.
• Good understanding of inventory control, waste reduction and POS systems.
• SCA certification or equivalent barista training is an advantage.

Pay: QAR5,500.00 - QAR6,000.00 per month
