Head Barista
The Head Barista is responsible for managing bar operations, beverage quality, and barista performance, and serves as the group custodian of coffee andbeverage standards. This role extends beyond a single outlet, requiringregular visits to other branches to audit bars, evaluate drinks, recalibrateequipment, and coach teams. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Beverage Quality & Production Ensure consistency in espresso extraction, milk texturing, tea brewing, andcold drink preparation Perform daily taste checks Maintain recipe standards for all beverages Handle beverage-related guest feedback Support seasonal drink development 2. Multi-Branch Bar Evaluationpg. Visit assigned branches regularly Conduct bar audits covering: – Coffee quality – Tea preparation– Cold beverages – Bar cleanliness – Equipment condition Recalibrate grinders and espresso machines Submit quality evaluation reports Identify training gaps Recommend corrective actions 3. Training & Team Development Train baristas on: – Espresso techniques – Milk texturing– Tea brewing standards – Cold beverage recipes Conduct mock service sessions Support onboarding of new bar staff Develop internal talent 4. Equipment Care & Preventive Maintenance Maintain espresso machines, grinders, and brewers Coordinate with the Facility Department for repairs Track breakdowns Support calibration with approved vendors 5. Inventory & Cost Awareness Monitor coffee bean usage Control wastage Maintain par levels Coordinate ordering with operations 6. Menu Development & R&D Participate in beverage innovation Test new beans and blends Develop signature drinks Support marketing launches 7. Operational Leadership Support peak hour operations Ensure SOP compliance Maintain grooming and hygiene standards Coordinate with Restaurant Managers & Head Chefs TOOLS & TECHNOLOGY Espresso machines & grinders Brewing equipment Temperature probes Inventory systems Quality audit checklists REPORTING STRUCTURE Reports to: Operations Manager / Brand Head Coordinates with: Restaurant Managers, Facility Team, Procurement Pay: AED1,726.50 - AED4,500.00 per month Work Location: In person
