This is a hands-on management position for someone who takes initiative, maintains high standards, communicates professionally, and can independently keep the facility running smoothly. Responsibilities Oversee daily gym operations and ensure all systems and procedures are followed Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and professional facility Serve as the primary point of contact for trainers and clients Provide excellent customer service and resolve issues as they arise Manage trainer onboarding, required documentation, waivers, CPR/AED certifications, and Certificates of Insurance Process bi-weekly invoicing and follow up on outstanding balances Maintain organized administrative and electronic records Monitor equipment and coordinate maintenance and repairs Order and maintain janitorial, facility, vending, and merchandise inventory Oversee general facility upkeep, including towels, laundry, lobby presentation, deliveries, and mail Coordinate vendors and service providers as needed Identify and immediately address safety or maintenance concerns Assist with gym social media, including posts, reposts, direct messages, and in-gym content Build positive working relationships with trainers and clients Handle hands-on operational tasks when necessary, including cleaning, laundry, and seasonal entrance snow removal Communicate important issues to ownership and follow established company policies Qualifications Previous gym, fitness facility, hospitality, retail, or operations management experience preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail Reliable, responsible, and accountable Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities Ability to take initiative and solve problems independently Comfortable using basic technology, spreadsheets, cloud-based systems, email, and social media Ability to maintain a professional attitude when dealing with trainers, clients, vendors, and ownership Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who does not need to be constantly directed. The ideal candidate notices what needs to be done, takes ownership of the facility, follows through on responsibilities, and maintains a consistently high standard of organization, cleanliness, professionalism, and customer service. This position requires both management oversight and hands-on involvement in the daily operation of the gym . Work Location: In person and must be at the gym Monday thru Saturday. Location: MyBody Complex - 193 Northfield Rd., Northfield, IL Please do not enter the gym without a scheduled appointment. Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 20.0 per week Benefits: Flexible schedule Work Location: In person
