Customer segments include Clinical: routine diagnostic labs / hospitals, and Life Science: biotech/pharmaceutical R&D labs, CRO’s and academic research institutions. The company employs a hybrid distribution/manufacturing business model. ALPCO’s products are derived from organic R&D and cGMP production operations, as well as externally sourced products in the form of either OEM “ALPCO branded” products, or products sold via pure distribution under the original manufacturer’s label. Job Description: Group Product Manager Reports to: VP of Product Management & Marketing FLSA: Exempt, Full-Time Department: Product Management Industry: Medical Diagnostic ALPCO’s Group Product Manager, Systems will lead the development and commercialization of our KleeYa product line, in addition to managing general clinical product sales. In this highly visible and dynamic role, you will drive market research on current trending products, establish pricing, train sales teams, and develop messaging and market positioning around products. You will also drive the entire product lifecycle, from prioritizing new assays and developing a strategic roadmap to driving development and launch, while coordinating efforts of various departments in development and release of new products. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, ensuring that our products deliver maximum value in the competitive immunoassay space. Responsibilities · Day-to-day owner of the KleeYa instrument and associated reagent portfolio, monitoring commercial performance and taking action where needed. · Manage pricing, product positioning, and promotional materials, keeping them current and aligned with market conditions. · Develop training materials, application notes, and sales tools, and being available to provide technical and commercial guidance on the portfolio. · Engage directly with key laboratory customers and opinion leaders to understand their needs and ensure their ongoing satisfaction. · Own product lifecycle decisions for the existing range, managing transitions, discontinuations, and supply-related issues in coordination with Manufacturing and Supply Chain. · Develop and execute the product roadmap for the KleeYa product line · Work with cross-functional project teams to define, prioritize, plan, and drive the implementation of new products, product enhancements and extensions to meet customer requirements and corporate objectives · Conduct in-depth competitive analysis, drive competitive benchmarking, and develop effective product positioning. · Provide justification and design inputs for new product development. Work closely with R&D during product development to ensure new products meet customer requirements. · Manages new product development phase exits and delivery against defined strategy to drive commercial success · Oversee product performance, identify key metrics, and collaborate with teams to drive continuous improvement strategies · Collaborate with Marketing to define product positioning, develop market launch strategies, and create compelling marketing collateral · Communicate the product vision, progress, and roadmap updates regularly to internal and external stakeholders Qualifications · 10+ years of relevant experience, including 7+ years in product management, product marketing, commercialization, or strategic consulting · Proven track record of leading product management initiatives in multiplexing, random access flash chemiluminescence or other immunodiagnostic technology a plus · Exceptional project and process management abilities, with attention to detail and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously · Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to senior leadership and drive cross-functional collaboration · Strong analytical skills for data-informed decision-making and identifying market opportunities Benefits At ALPCO, we believe great employees deserve great benefits.
