Group Exercise Supervisor

Role Purpose The Group Exercise Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day leadership, delivery and continuous development of the Group Exercise programme , ensuring every class reflects the premium standards of Ras Al Ardh. The role will lead and support the Group Exercise instructor team, manage the class timetable, maintain exceptional coaching and presentation standards, and ensure members receive an engaging, professional and consistently premium experience. The successful candidate will be a visible leader on the floor, passionate about fitness, people and service, with the ability to inspire instructors and create a high-performing Group Exercise culture. Key Responsibilities Group Exercise Operations Oversee the daily operation of all Group Exercise classes. Ensure classes start and finish on time and are delivered to the required standard. Manage the Group Exercise timetable in conjunction with the Fitness Manager. Monitor class attendance, utilisation and member feedback. Identify opportunities to improve the timetable, class formats and member engagement. Ensure studios are clean, organised, well-presented and fully prepared before each class. Work closely with other departments to deliver a seamless member experience. Instructor Leadership Lead, coach and develop the Group Exercise instructor team. Conduct regular instructor observations and provide constructive feedback. Establish clear standards for class delivery, coaching, music, presentation and member interaction. Support the recruitment, onboarding and induction of new instructors. Manage instructor cover and substitutions where required. Build a positive, accountable and collaborative team culture. Recognise high performance and address performance issues appropriately. Premium Member Experience Create a welcoming and energetic environment for every member. Ensure instructors actively engage with members before and after classes. Develop strong relationships with regular class attendees. Gather and act upon member feedback. Identify opportunities to introduce new concepts and experiences. Ensure the Group Exercise offering reflects the premium positioning of Ras Al Ardh. Quality & Standards Maintain consistent technical and coaching standards across all classes. Ensure instructors operate within relevant health, safety and professional guidelines. Carry out regular studio and equipment checks. Ensure music, lighting, equipment and presentation are appropriate for each class. Maintain accurate instructor qualifications and certifications. Support incident reporting and appropriate follow-up. Commercial & Performance Monitor Group Exercise KPIs including: Class attendance Class utilisation Member participation Member retention New member conversion through Group Exercise Member satisfaction Instructor performance Identify underperforming classes and implement improvement plans. Support the Fitness Manager with budget and resource planning. Help develop premium paid-for classes, workshops and specialist programmes where appropriate. Support member engagement and retention through the Group Exercise programme. Programming & Innovation Stay up to date with emerging fitness trends and industry developments. Recommend new class concepts and formats. Support the launch of signature Group Exercise experiences. Work with the marketing team to promote key classes, instructors and events. Develop instructor-led events, challenges and community initiatives. Recognised Group Exercise/instructor qualification. Current CPR/AED certification. Previous experience delivering Group Exercise classes. Previous experience supervising, mentoring or leading instructors. Strong understanding of fitness and Group Exercise programming. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. High standard of personal presentation. Desirable Experience within a premium/luxury health club, hotel, resort or wellness environment . Experience managing a large and diverse Group Exercise timetable. Experience with Reformer Pilates, Pilates, yoga, HIIT, strength, cycling or other premium studio concepts. Experience using fitness management/member booking systems. Experience delivering instructor training or workshops. Pay: KD700.000 - KD800.000 per month Application Question(s): What qualifications do you hold? What classes are you qualified to instruct?
