Group Accountant
Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterlyand half-yearly Group financial reports, including Group consolidation, financial statements, SGX results announcements and other regulatory reporting requirements. Perform and review month-end closing activities, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, intercompany reconciliationsand AR/AP ageing reconciliations, to ensure completeness and accuracy. Coordinate with reporting entities to obtain financial information and supporting schedules; review financial submissions, including forecasts, budgets and cash-flow projections; and analyse significant variances. Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections and supplier payments. Provide support to regional subsidiaries on day-to-day accounting, financial reporting and other finance-related matters. Assist in the preparation of Board and Audit Committee meeting materials and other management reports. Assist in coordinating internal and external audits, and liaise with auditors, tax agents and other professional advisers on GST, tax and audit matters. Support the implementation of Group accounting policies, finance processes and internal control initiatives. Ensure the accuracy and completeness of Group reporting schedules, accounting records and supporting documentation. Maintain and review the fixed asset register, and assist with the annual stock-take where required. Assist the Finance Manager and Financial Controller with ad hoc finance and accounting assignments. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Finance, and/or a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA or equivalent. Minimum three years of relevant experience inexternal audit and/or Group Finance, with hands-on experience in Group consolidation. Experience in public-listed company reporting and regulatory requirements is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel; familiarity with accounting systems such as AutoCount is an advantage. Good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, with a meticulous and proactive approach and the ability to work independently while meeting deadlines. Fluent in English and Mandarin, with strong reading, writing and conversational skills. We specialise in designing, fabricating, assembling, installing and commissioning engineered water purification, wastewater, and vacuum installation systems.
