We are seeking an experienced and motivated Grounds Maintenance Operations Manager to oversee the successful delivery of our commercial grounds maintenance contracts. This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and hands-on operational leader who can manage teams, build strong client relationships, and ensure consistently high standards across our sites. Key Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day operations and delivery of commercial grounds maintenance contracts. Plan and coordinate maintenance programmes, resources, labour, materials, and equipment. Lead, motivate, and develop grounds maintenance teams to achieve high standards of performance and productivity. Monitor site standards and ensure all works are completed to the required quality, specification, and timescales. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, attending contract and site meetings where required. Manage client expectations and respond proactively to issues, queries, and service requirements. Carry out regular site inspections and implement improvements where necessary. Monitor operational performance, productivity, costs, and contract profitability. Ensure all teams operate in accordance with health & safety legislation, risk assessments, method statements, and company procedures. Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of operational staff. Manage plant, vehicles, tools, equipment, and materials effectively. Work closely with senior management to identify opportunities for growth, improved efficiency, and service development. Promote excellent customer service, sustainability, environmental responsibility, and social value initiatives. Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing working environment. Skills & Experience Proven management experience within a commercial grounds maintenance or landscaping business — essential. Minimum 3 years' operational or management experience — essential. Strong knowledge of commercial grounds maintenance operations and horticultural standards. Proven ability to manage multiple teams, sites, and contracts simultaneously. Excellent leadership, communication, planning, and organisational skills. Strong customer and stakeholder management skills. Commercially aware with a proactive and results-driven approach. Ability to identify operational issues and implement practical solutions. Competent in Microsoft Office — essential. A hands-on approach with the ability to work effectively with both management and site-based teams. Qualifications Full UK driving licence — essential. CSCS card — required.
