GRAPHIC DESIGNER – SIGNAGE & LARGE FORMAT PRINTING

Vida Signs is a NYC-based sign and large-format printing company specializing in custom signage, retail graphics, illuminated signs, LED/neon signs, large-format printing, and installation. We work with clients in retail, fashion, hospitality, commercial, and event industries.

We are looking for a Graphic Designer to join our team and support both creative design and production artwork.

Responsibilities

• Create and prepare artwork for signs, storefront graphics, window graphics, wall graphics, banners, vehicle graphics, and large-format printing
• Prepare production-ready files for printing, CNC cutting, laser cutting, vinyl cutting, and fabrication
• Create layouts, mockups, elevations, and signage presentations for clients
• Modify and resize existing artwork according to production requirements
• Check artwork for dimensions, scale, bleeds, cut paths, fonts, resolution, and color
• Communicate with clients and the production team regarding artwork and revisions
• Work closely with fabricators and installers to ensure designs can be produced and installed correctly
• Organize and maintain project files and production artwork
• Assist with design concepts and presentations when needed

Requirements

• Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English — both written and spoken
• Strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Experience with Flexisign is a plus
• Strong understanding of vector artwork and print production
• Ability to accurately work with measurements, dimensions, and scale
• Understanding of CMYK, RGB, Pantone, resolution, bleeds, and file preparation
• Strong attention to detail and ability to catch production errors before printing
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Sign, printing, retail graphics, environmental graphics, or production-design experience is a strong plus

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

• Large-format printing
• Signage design
• Channel letters
• LED/neon signs
• Vinyl graphics
• Window graphics
• Vehicle graphics
• CNC/router production
• RIP software
• Roland, Mimaki, or similar large-format printers
• Retail or architectural signage

Compensation

$20–$40/hour , depending on experience and qualifications.

Full-time position. Compensation and benefits can be discussed during the interview.
