ERA seeks a motivated Full-Time Graduate Structural Engineer who is interested in growing a rewarding career. As a Graduate Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for working with a variety of clients, including architects, owners, and contractors, to create structural designs and construction documents within a team setting. You will coordinate with project partners and assist with executing the structural design. As a member of our structural engineering team, you will play a key role in delivering accurate project plans on time and within budget, consistently exceeding client expectations. Your responsibilities will include performing structural analysis of buildings and other structures using the latest software, and designing structural systems with concrete, steel, timber, and other materials. You will collaborate with project partners and clients, bringing a service-minded approach to solving complex problems. Additionally, you will coordinate with the internal team on design drawings and report preparation, and work closely with construction partners to ensure a smooth construction process. ERA offers support and training for engineers in this position to develop as professionals. This includes internal continuing education programs, a mentorship program, PE development program, and opportunities to grow a professional network through professional associations, client engagement, and marketing/business development collaboration. Key Responsibilities Design & Project Coordination Perform structural analysis and design of building using concrete, steel, timber and other materials collaborate with Project Managers and Structural Modelers to prepare construction documents Attend internal kickoff meetings and external coordination meeting Develop designs for structural systems and project specifications Document & Quality Assurance Create and maintain accurate project calculation and drawing packages conduct drawing reviews for internal QA and interdisciplinary coordination Identify and communicate unusual design conditions or scope changes to Project Managers Construction Support Review shop drawings and submittals Respond to RFI's and perform field observation visits as needed Evaluate special inspection reports and address deviations from design documents support construction partners in resolving field issues efficiently Administrative & Client Facing Duties Read and interpret project proposals to understand scope, schedule and budget Work with Project Managers to align engineering tasks with budgeted hours Engage in legacy knowledge transfer to ensure continuity of client relationships Help ensure repeat business by understanding and delivering on client values Bachelor's or Master's degree in civil or Structural Engineering Recent graduates are required to have had a 3.0 or higher upon graduation. 0-3 years of experience in structural engineering Successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and registration as an Engineer in Training (EIT) within 1 year Familiarity with Structural Design Software. Proficiency in RAM, RISA3-D and SAP2000 prefered Ability to communicate and collaborate regarding technical information effectively with team members Detail oriented with ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines and project timelines Experienced in steel, concrete and other material design ERA Structural Engineering is committed to supporting continued growth and development of our employees. Work Schedule ERA Structural Engineering recognizes the value of flexibility in the workday. Our full-time schedules are structured around core collaboration hours, with flexibility to adjust start and end times based on your role, team and project needs to meet the expected 40 hours per week.
