General Sales Manager/Used Car Manager
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Sales Manager / Used Car Manager to lead our automotive sales team and drive the success of our used vehicle operations. Responsibilities Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve and surpass sales targets across new and used vehicle inventories. Manage the entire sales pipeline, from inbound leads through deal closing, ensuring consistent deal flow and customer satisfaction. Oversee inventory management, including inventory control, pricing strategies, and vehicle presentation to maximize profitability. Build and maintain strong customer relationships through effective communication, upselling techniques, and personalized service. Utilize Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to track leads, follow-ups, and customer interactions for continuous improvement. Conduct regular training sessions on negotiation skills, phone etiquette, public speaking, and automotive financing options to enhance team performance. Implement effective retail math practices to analyze sales data, monitor performance metrics, and achieve organizational goals. Support the dealership’s outreach efforts through cold calling, outbound sales campaigns, and community engagement initiatives. Ensure compliance with all dealership policies, industry regulations, and safety standards while maintaining high levels of customer service. Qualifications Proven experience in automotive sales management. Nissan experience is a plus. Strong background in lead management, negotiation, deal closing, and upselling techniques. Demonstrated ability to manage a sales team effectively while fostering a collaborative environment. Proficiency with CRM software and inventory management systems; experience with automotive financing options is preferred. Exceptional organizational skills with an aptitude for retail math, inventory control, and CRM support tools. Ability to excel in outbound calling campaigns, cold calling efforts, and public speaking engagements to promote dealership offerings. Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on building long-term client relationships through effective client communication strategies.
