ABOUT BOULEVARD EVENTS Boulevard Events is a family-run business that's been catering events across London since 1988. Two generations in, we've built a reputation for great food, bold cocktails, and service that guests remember - and we're now taking over F&B operations at WeWork Waterloo, building the team from scratch. THE SITE At WeWork Waterloo, Boulevard Events runs the full F&B offer: a 9th floor kitchen, a 16th floor bar, in-house events, and ongoing catering contracts for several resident companies. It's a varied, fast-paced site — no two days look the same. Operating Pattern Kitchen (9th floor): Monday – Friday (breakfast & lunch) Guest Member Bar (16th floor): Tuesday–Friday, unless an event is on-site - the event then takes over bar service Events: held on the 16th floor and across other areas of the premises as required THE ROLE We're looking for a hands-on General Ops Manager to take full ownership of day-to-day operations across Kitchen, Bar, Events and Catering at WeWork Waterloo. You'll be the site lead - the person who makes sure every stream runs tight, every team member knows what's expected, and every client and guest gets a great experience. You'll work closely with Boulevard Events' Head Management on strategy, reporting and standards, while owning execution on the ground. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Own overall site operations across Kitchen (9th floor), Bar (16th floor), Events and Catering Manage rotas, recruitment, staffing levels and day-to-day team leadership across FOH and BOH For events: work closely with the Boulevard Events team to follow up on and confirm function sheets ahead of every event Source and manage temporary/agency staff through staffing agencies to cover gaps and peak demand (when required) Oversee stock, ordering and supplier relationships site-wide Ensure compliance with licensing, food safety and H&S standards at all times Act as the main point of contact for WeWork site management and resident-company catering clients Work closely with the Boulevard Events team to confirm function sheets ahead of every event, and lead delivery on the day through to breakdown Report performance, issues and opportunities back to Boulevard Events Head Management Proactively identify and seek out opportunities to grow revenue, improve service and strengthen the site’s overall performance Recruit, train and develop the site team; hold the standard for service and food quality KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS Function sheet accuracy and on-time confirmation for every event Rota fulfilment vs. agency spend kept within budget Cost control: stock management, GP% and wastage against target Reporting: timely, accurate submission of site performance reports (ops, financials, stock) to Boulevard Events Head Management Client and member satisfaction (WeWork site feedback, resident-company feedback) Zero food safety / H&S non-conformances on audit Staff retention and reduced reliance on agency staff over time REQUIREMENTS Essential Proven experience managing multi-stream F&B operations (kitchen, bar, events or catering) Strong people-management, rota and staffing-agency management experience Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available) Comfortable owning budgets, stock and supplier relationships Desirable Personal Licence holder Food Safety qualification (Level 2 or above) Experience in a corporate/workplace hospitality or members'-club environment Any additional relevant certification WHAT'S ON OFFER Competitive salary, based on experience Permanent contract, 40-45 hrs/week Weekday-based role - real work-life balance, with weekends off (aside from the rare event) Training and courses provided The opportunity to shape a brand-new site from day one Pay: From £44,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
