General Manager – Rumble Boxing Greater Boston Locations: Assembly Row – Somerville, MA & Arsenal Yards – Watertown, MA Job Type: Full-Time Compensation: $55,000–$65,000 annual base salary + performance-based bonus opportunities ABOUT THE ROLE Rumble Boxing Greater Boston is looking for an energetic, highly motivated, and sales-driven General Manager to oversee our Assembly Row and Arsenal Yards studios. This is not a traditional office management position. We are looking for someone who wants to take real ownership of the studios , become deeply involved in the Rumble community, and be motivated by seeing the business grow. The ideal candidate is someone who gets excited about measurable progress — increasing memberships, converting leads, improving retention, developing a stronger team, and constantly finding new ways to grow the business . We want someone who doesn't simply maintain the studios. We want someone who is always thinking about what we can improve, what opportunities we are missing, and what we can do next to drive results. This is a hands-on role. The General Manager will work directly with members and prospects, spend time working front desk and sales shifts, coach and develop employees, support team development , and oversee day-to-day studio operations. The General Manager will oversee both Greater Boston studios, with a particular emphasis on driving membership and community growth at our Assembly Row location. RESPONSIBILITIES Sales & Membership Growth Take ownership of studio membership and sales goals Personally follow up with leads through calls, texts, and other outreach Book introductory classes and convert prospects into members Work front desk and sales shifts and lead by example Re-engage former members and leads Identify new opportunities to generate leads and increase memberships Develop referral opportunities, local partnerships, and community relationships Track lead activity, conversions, retention, cancellations, and membership growth Work closely with ownership and marketing resources to turn marketing efforts into memberships Regularly bring new ideas and growth opportunities to ownership Team Leadership Coach front desk employees on sales conversations, lead follow-up, and customer experience Set clear expectations and hold team members accountable Support ownership with recruiting and interviewing, and help onboard and develop front desk/sales employees and trainers Create a positive, motivated, and results-oriented studio culture Identify opportunities for team members to improve and provide ongoing coaching Help ensure appropriate front desk and trainer coverage across both locations Member Experience Build strong relationships with members and become a recognizable presence within the Rumble community Create an energetic and welcoming experience for first-time guests and existing members Help resolve member concerns Proactively identify members who may be at risk of canceling and work to improve retention Work with trainers and front desk employees to continually improve the member experience Support studio events, promotions, and community-building initiatives Studio Operations Oversee day-to-day operations across Assembly Row and Arsenal Yards Maintain studio cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation Identify maintenance or operational issues and ensure they are addressed Manage staffing schedules and studio coverage across both locations Maintain Rumble brand and customer service standards Communicate regularly with ownership regarding sales performance, staffing, member feedback, and operational needs WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR We're looking for someone who: Is highly motivated by growth, goals, and measurable results Has a strong sales mentality and is comfortable asking for the sale Takes ownership and feels personally invested in the success of the studios Is proactive and looks for opportunities rather than waiting to be told what to do Is competitive, ambitious, and energized by achieving challenging goals Has the personality and energy to motivate employees and members Enjoys building teams and helping people improve Is organized, dependable, and capable of managing multiple priorities Is comfortable solving problems independently Wants to become deeply involved in the Rumble brand and local community Is comfortable working a flexible schedule that may include mornings, evenings, and weekends EXPERIENCE Previous management or team leadership experience is strongly preferred, but we are open to candidates from a variety of professional backgrounds. Experience in any of the following is especially valuable: Fitness or boutique fitness Membership sales Hospitality Retail sales or management Customer service Team leadership Business development We care just as much about drive, leadership ability, sales instincts, and willingness to take ownership as we do about having a specific number of years in a management position. COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE $55,000–$65,000 annual base salary , depending on experience Performance-based bonus opportunities tied to studio growth and results Complimentary Rumble classes Opportunity for increased responsibility and compensation as the business grows Full-time position with a flexible schedule based on studio and business needs , including some mornings, evenings, and weekends This role will involve time at both our Assembly Row and Arsenal Yards studios. The schedule will be built around the needs of the business and will include a combination of front desk/sales presence, management responsibilities, staff development, member engagement, and growth initiatives.
