Position Overview

At Jason's NY Style Pizza, we're looking for a motivated, hardworking, and passionate General Manager to lead our team and oversee the daily operations of our restaurant.

Our General Manager is more than just a manager — they're the face of the restaurant, a leader to our employees, and a key part of creating an exceptional experience for every guest.

This position requires a balance of leadership, professionalism, empathy, accountability, and grit. Our managers lead by example, inspire their teams to be the best they can be, and maintain the highest standards of customer service, food quality, cleanliness, and operational excellence.

As General Manager, you'll need to know just as much about making great pizza as you do about leading a great team! All managers are expected to become proficient in every position within the restaurant and be willing to jump in wherever needed.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

• Lead, motivate, and support Shift Managers, Team Leaders, and Crew Members.
• Train, coach, evaluate, and develop employees to meet company standards.
• Hold team members accountable for performance, professionalism, and customer service.
• Address performance concerns and administer disciplinary action when necessary.
• Foster a positive, respectful, team-oriented work environment.
• Lead by example and actively participate in daily restaurant operations.

Restaurant Operations

• Oversee all aspects of daily restaurant operations.
• Ensure consistent food quality, portion control, and presentation.
• Maintain exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction.
• Ensure all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards are followed.
• Monitor inventory, product usage, and waste.
• Ensure proper staffing and coverage based on restaurant needs and sales volume.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workplace.
• Be proficient in all restaurant positions and assist wherever needed.

Administrative & Business Management

• Participate in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding employees.
• Oversee employee scheduling and staffing needs.
• Complete required daily paperwork and administrative tasks accurately and on time.
• Monitor inventory, food costs, and portion control.
• Assist with marketing initiatives, promotions, and new menu item rollouts.
• Maintain operational standards and ensure company policies and procedures are consistently followed.
• Take ownership of restaurant performance, employee development, and overall guest experience.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

Candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and the ability to lead by example.
• Be willing and able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and peak business hours.
• Be available to work a minimum of 40–45 hours per week.
• Hold a recognized food safety certification or be able to obtain the required certification.
• Be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
• Be willing to learn and become proficient in all restaurant positions.
• Have a valid driver's license with at least three years of licensed driving experience and meet company driving standards, including:
• No more than one moving violation per year within the past three years.
• No more than one at-fault accident within the past three years.
• No major violations, including DUI, reckless operation, leaving the scene of an accident, or similar offenses.

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on management position. Candidates must be able to:

• Stand and walk for extended periods, potentially walking four to five miles or more throughout a shift.
• Repeatedly lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds, including overhead lifting.
• Frequently bend, stoop, reach, crouch, sit, walk, and pull.
• Work in hot and humid kitchen environments.
• Work in varying weather conditions, including rain, snow, sleet, and extreme temperatures.
• Perform the physical demands of daily restaurant operations, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Performance Expectations

General Managers are expected to demonstrate proficiency in all essential responsibilities and independently manage daily restaurant operations within their first 90 days.

This includes effectively leading employees, maintaining company standards, overseeing administrative responsibilities, and ensuring exceptional food quality and guest experiences.

The responsibilities outlined above represent the minimum expectations of the position. Additional duties may be assigned based on business needs, and expectations may evolve over time.

General Managers are expected to consistently demonstrate ownership, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
