The GM serves as the primary operational leader of the businesses, ensuring that Sales, Marketing, Production, Installation, Inventory, Purchasing, Finance, Customer Service, and Branch Operations work together efficiently. The General Manager is expected to build systems, develop people, maintain quality standards, control costs, increase sales, and ensure excellent customer experience while supporting the company’s long-term expansion. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Overall Business Operations Manage and supervise the day-to-day operations of G-Spot Upholstery and GS Tech. Ensure all departments follow company policies, procedures, schedules, and quality standards. Establish clear workflows and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Identify operational problems and implement corrective actions. Coordinate activities between the head office, production team, installation team, sales team, warehouse, and branches. Provide regular operational reports to the Owner/Management. 2. Sales & Revenue Management Set monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets with management. Monitor daily and monthly sales performance. Develop strategies to increase inquiries, quotations, bookings, installations, and repeat customers. Monitor conversion rates from inquiries to confirmed orders. Coach the sales team on product knowledge, customer handling, follow-ups, and closing. Develop dealer, reseller, fleet, corporate, and business-to-business opportunities. 3. Production & Installation Management Oversee upholstery production, CNC leather cutting schedules, sewing, assembly, quality control, and installation. Ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on schedule. Monitor production capacity and manpower requirements. Minimize material waste, production errors, rework, and installation delays. Ensure proper coordination between Sales, Production, Warehouse, and Installation. Maintain high standards for fit, finish, workmanship, and vehicle protection. 4. GS Tech Automotive Accessories Operations Oversee inventory, sales, installation, and after-sales support for automotive accessories. Ensure technicians follow proper installation procedures. Monitor product availability and fast-moving/slow-moving inventory. Coordinate purchasing and replenishment with approved suppliers. Ensure warranty concerns and product issues are properly documented and resolved. 5. Inventory & Purchasing Maintain proper inventory control for leather, upholstery materials, accessories, tools, and supplies. Establish minimum and maximum stock levels. Reduce stock shortages, overstocking, losses, and unaccounted inventory. Review supplier pricing and purchasing requirements. Ensure receiving, releasing, transferring, and returning of inventory are properly documented. Conduct or supervise regular physical inventory counts. 6. Financial & Profitability Management Monitor revenue, expenses, margins, labor costs, material costs, and operational expenses. Review departmental and branch performance. Help management prepare budgets and sales forecasts. Ensure approved discounts and pricing policies are followed. Identify unnecessary expenses and opportunities to improve profitability. Coordinate with Accounting regarding collections, payments, deposits, and financial reporting. 7. Customer Experience & Quality Control Ensure every customer receives professional and consistent service. Monitor customer complaints, warranty concerns, back jobs, and after-sales cases. Establish procedures for resolving customer concerns quickly and fairly. Monitor customer reviews and feedback. Protect the reputation of G-Spot Upholstery and GS Tech through strong quality-control standards. 8. Marketing & Brand Coordination Coordinate with the Marketing and Content Team regarding promotions, product launches, campaigns, and branch activities. Ensure promotions are operationally achievable and properly communicated to Sales. Monitor campaign inquiries and conversion results. Maintain consistent positioning and professional presentation of both brands. 9. People Management & Leadership Lead department heads, supervisors, sales personnel, production staff, installers, technicians, warehouse staff, and administrative employees. Establish clear responsibilities and performance expectations. Conduct regular management and operations meetings. Implement employee KPIs and performance reviews. Recommend hiring, training, promotion, disciplinary action, or restructuring when necessary. Develop future supervisors and managers as the company expands. 10. Branch Management & Expansion Monitor performance and operational standards across company branches. Ensure branches follow standardized pricing, customer service, inventory, branding, and reporting procedures. Evaluate manpower, equipment, inventory, and operational requirements for new branches. Assist management in preparing and launching new locations. Establish scalable systems that allow the company to expand without sacrificing quality. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs) The General Manager will be evaluated based on: Monthly sales and revenue achievement Gross profit and operating profitability Inquiry-to-sale conversion rate Production output and turnaround time On-time installation/completion rate Material waste and production error rate Inventory accuracy and stock availability Customer complaints and back-job rate Customer satisfaction Employee productivity and attendance Branch performance Cost-control improvements Dealer/reseller/business development Achievement of company expansion objectives QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Operations, Engineering, Marketing, or related field preferred. Proven experience in General Management, Operations Management, Branch Management, Retail, Automotive, Manufacturing, Upholstery, or a related business. Strong leadership and people-management skills. Strong understanding of sales, operations, inventory, customer service, and financial management. Ability to analyze reports and make data-driven decisions. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced and growing company. Automotive or manufacturing experience is an advantage. Major decisions—including significant capital expenditures, major supplier commitments, opening or closing branches, major changes in pricing, senior-management hiring or termination, and other strategic commitments—require approval from the Owner/President. PRIMARY OBJECTIVE Build a professional, profitable, scalable, and system-driven organization that allows G-Spot Upholstery and GS Tech to grow while maintaining excellent product quality, customer service, operational discipline, and brand reputation.
