Position Overview

We are a Miami based financial startup looking for an experienced General Manager to work alongside our founder in building the business and developing our team

This role is responsible for day to day business operations including turning business goals into actionable plans defining responsibilities monitoring execution and resolving issues as they arise

We are looking for someone who can set business priorities and is also willing to be hands on with client relationships recruiting and building operational processes

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the founder to develop annual business plans manage budgets and monitor revenue expenses and cash flow
• Oversee daily operations and coordinate across business finance technology and external service providers to ensure timely execution
• Recruit and manage employees define responsibilities and establish effective performance evaluation and communication processes
• Support business development and partnerships maintain key client relationships and improve customer experience
• Build practical operational processes that fit the company's current stage while reducing repetitive work and communication barriers
• Work closely with legal compliance and risk management professionals to implement appropriate policies and internal controls
• Provide regular business updates to the founder identify operational challenges recommend solutions and ensure follow through

Qualifications

• Experience in financial services or fintech with previous responsibility for managing a team department or business unit
• Experience building a business from the ground up or leading a small team through growth
• Ability to understand financial statements manage budgets and use financial and operational data to evaluate business performance
• Sound judgment and the ability to make independent decisions within the scope of the role while knowing when to escalate important matters to the founder
• Strong communication skills reliability and the flexibility to work in a startup environment with limited resources and broad responsibilities
• Ability to work in Miami
• Experience in US and Latin American markets and Spanish language proficiency are preferred

Pay: $240,000.00 - $330,000.00 per year
