General Ledger (GL) Accountant
Job overview: Department: Group Finance Department Reporting To: Finance Manager Job Responsibilities: Handle full set of accounts, month-end closing, and financial statement preparation in compliance with IFRS and group policies. Perform tax calculation and filing, and complete periodic financial and regulatory reporting to ensure timely and compliant submission. Liaise with external auditors, prepare audit documentation, and coordinate the annual statutory audit. Review expense claims and daily expenditures to ensure compliance and reasonableness. Perform inter-company transaction reconciliation to ensure accurate and consistent group accounting records. Undertake other ad-hoc duties as assigned by management. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or MIA) preferred. Minimum 2 years of full-set GL accounting experience, with solid knowledge of IFRS and tax compliance; experience in the financial services industry is an advantage. Fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese (to liaise with regional/Group HQ stakeholders). Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP experience highly preferred. Meticulous, self-disciplined, with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
