# General Accounting Officer **Pan Asian Materials Processing Corp.** · Pasig · `On-site` 🕒 **Статус:** *Опубликовано: 5 дней назад* · *Источник: Indeed* --- ### About the Role The Accounting Officer is responsible for performing and monitoring the day-to-day accounting and financial transactions of Unilox Far East Resources, Inc. The position ensures that financial records are accurate, complete, properly documented, and maintained in accordance with company policies, accounting standards, and applicable government regulations. The role will handle accounting documentation, recording and reconciliation of transactions, accounts payable and receivable support, preparation of financial reports and schedules, and coordination with internal departments and external parties as needed. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. General Accounting Record and maintain accurate accounting transactions in the company’s accounting system. Prepare journal entries, schedules, and supporting documentation for accounting transactions. Maintain and update subsidiary ledgers and accounting records. Perform regular account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies. Assist in the preparation of monthly and year-end closing activities. Ensure that accounting records are properly supported, organized, and readily available for audit and reporting purposes. 2. Accounts Payable and Receivable Process and monitor accounts payable transactions, including invoices, billing documents, and payment requests. Monitor accounts receivable and assist in ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances. Verify invoices and supporting documents against approved transactions and company policies. Prepare and maintain aging schedules and other monitoring reports. Coordinate with concerned departments and customers/suppliers regarding billing and payment concerns. 3. Cash and Bank Transactions Monitor and record cash and bank-related transactions. Prepare bank reconciliations and investigate variances or unreconciled items. Assist in monitoring cash advances, reimbursements, and other disbursement-related transactions. Maintain complete documentation for cash and bank transactions. 4. Tax and Regulatory Compliance Assist in the preparation and filing of required tax returns, schedules, and supporting documents. Ensure that transactions are properly documented for tax and audit requirements. Assist in monitoring compliance with applicable BIR and other government requirements. Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and government agencies when necessary. 5. Financial Reporting and Analysis Assist in preparing monthly financial reports, schedules, and management reports. Provide accurate accounting data and supporting schedules for management review. Analyze account balances and variances and escalate unusual or significant discrepancies. Maintain financial records and reports in accordance with established accounting procedures. 6. Audit Support Prepare and organize accounting documents and schedules required for internal and external audits. Respond to audit requests and provide necessary supporting documents. Assist in resolving audit findings and implementing agreed corrective actions. 7. Internal Controls and Process Improvement Ensure compliance with established accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Identify accounting process gaps, recurring discrepancies, or documentation issues and recommend improvements. Maintain proper filing and control of financial documents and records. Support the implementation of accounting process improvements and system enhancements. 8. Other Duties Coordinate with other departments regarding accounting and financial concerns. Provide accounting information and assistance to management as needed. Perform other related duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Accountancy, Finance, or a related field . At least 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience . Experience in general accounting, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, tax compliance, and financial reporting. Working knowledge of Philippine accounting and taxation requirements. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/systems. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data. Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Able to manage multiple deadlines and work with minimal supervision. Strong communication and coordination skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience in a trading, manufacturing, or multi-business environment. Experience handling full-cycle accounting functions. Familiarity with BIR tax compliance and documentation. Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
