Description The General Accountant for Vietnam will be based in Phu My Hung Tower, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City . This position is responsible for daily operations in all aspects of accounting function. Being as a business partner to work with all functions to provide the supports related to finance and accounting to ensure daily operations run smoothly as well as drive the compliance of accounting policies/ regulations and Legal & Corporate guidelines. This role will involve in analysing business cases, provide meaningful account analysis and reporting to support decision making for business. The role will report Vietnam Finance Manager Key Responsibilities In this role, you will… Manage all accounting transactions and support financial transactions by verifying supporting documents. Manage activities including general ledger process, recording all expenses, accrual in accounting book, entering journal entries by cost center & profit center, bank reconciliation, fixed asset accounting and intercompany accounting. Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual closings to ensure all reports submitted by given deadline. Manage balance sheet and P&L to ensure all transactions recorded in accounting book can be justified. Monthly preparation of financial reporting package and accounts reconciliation via Blackline. Monthly preparation of tax returns (VAT/CIT/WHT) and process tax payment. Work with internal and external auditors timely when required. Drive ownership on entire budget and manage spending within approved budget. Assist Finance Manager in preparation of financial simulation for promotion program/business proposal and analyze business cases to support decision making. Being a business partner with all functions to ensure daily operation run smoothly. Involve in annual budget process and update latest estimate timely. Ensure accounting policies and procedures comply with Legal and Corporate guidelines. Ad hoc reports/projects when required. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise In this role, you’ll need … Experience/Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or professional accounting certifications with at least 8 years relevant working experience in Finance and Accounting. Good knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the US GAAP and IFRS. Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills. Working experience in MNC. Have knowledge of power BI is a plus. Skills required Language: good in English (written and spoken). Good verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of Finance ERP system (SAP).
