General Accountant
Job Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable General Accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, supporting financial reporting and month-end closing activities, and ensuring that financial transactions are properly recorded and reconciled. This position will also provide support for budgeting, audits, expense monitoring, and other accounting-related activities while ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable accounting standards and regulations. Key Responsibilities Maintain and update accounting records, schedules, and financial documentation. Prepare financial reports and accounting summaries accurately and within required deadlines. Handle monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities. Perform regular reconciliation of bank accounts, accounts payable, and accounts receivable. Prepare and record journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and other general ledger transactions. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and internal management reports. Ensure accounting transactions are properly recorded and in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies. Provide support in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses. Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide necessary schedules and supporting documents. Review and monitor company expenses to ensure proper recording and cost allocation. Investigate accounting variances, discrepancies, and unusual transactions and recommend appropriate corrections. Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field . At least 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience . Solid knowledge of basic and intermediate accounting principles and financial reporting. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting or financial management software. Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in handling financial data. Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with the Finance team. Capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting strict reporting deadlines. Preferred Qualifications Experience using ERP systems or computerized accounting software . Familiarity with tax requirements, accounting regulations, and compliance procedures . Experience supporting audits, financial reporting, budgeting, or forecasting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
