General Accountant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced General Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling general accounting tasks, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Job Summary Manage and monitor accounting operations and financial records of Miguelitos Business Development Corporation and related entities. Ensure accurate, complete, and timely financial recording, reconciliation, reporting, and analysis. Monitor the financial performance of franchise and co-owned stores. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support management decisions. Key Responsibilities Record and review revenues, expenses, collections, disbursements, journal entries, adjustments, and other accounting transactions. Monitor and validate daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports of franchise and co-owned stores. Prepare sales performance, variance, and profitability reports. Monitor franchise fees, administrative fees, royalties, marketing fees, and other receivables. Monitor and reconcile store rentals, utilities, and other lease-related charges. Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor cash transactions. Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports. Conduct profitability, costing, ROI, break-even, and payback period analysis. Analyze actual versus projected financial performance and identify variances, risks, and opportunities. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, BIR regulations, and company policies. Assist with internal and external audits and maintain proper financial documentation. Maintain accurate accounting system records and financial data. Recommend improvements to accounting processes, internal controls, and financial procedures. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or related field . Preferably CPA or with relevant accounting experience. Experience in general accounting, financial reporting, reconciliation, and financial analysis . Experience in franchise, retail, food business, or multi-store operations is an advantage. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software . Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
