General Accountant
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive General Accountant to support Accounts Receivable, General Accounting, Audit, Tax Compliance, and Finance Operations. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance, supporting month-end activities, and partnering with various departments to drive operational efficiency. Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities Maintain accurate Accounts Receivable records and ledgers across the group. Prepare, issue, and monitor client invoices. Follow up on outstanding balances through email and phone communications. Build and maintain professional relationships with clients regarding billing and payment matters. Monitor A/R balances and prepare aging reports. Process and accurately record incoming payments. Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and client account issues. Reconcile A/R balances and ensure receipts are properly recorded and allocated. Prepare bank deposits, journal entries, and supporting accounting records. Support month-end closing activities. Assist with Accounts Payable processing, invoice verification, and payment documentation. Perform bank, balance sheet, intercompany, and other account reconciliations. Prepare journal entries and maintain supporting schedules. Assist with general ledger maintenance and month-end reporting. Review transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper account classification. Provide day-to-day accounting support to the Finance team and other departments. Prepare and organize documents required for financial and BIR audits. Coordinate with auditors and provide requested schedules, reconciliations, and supporting records. Ensure transactions comply with accounting and tax requirements. Maintain complete and organized audit documentation. Assist in addressing audit findings and implementing corrective actions. Record tax-related transactions, including VAT/GST and other applicable taxes. Prepare tax schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation. Assist with tax return preparation and filing requirements. Reconcile tax-related accounts and investigate discrepancies. Support responses to tax authority queries and requests. Assist in maintaining IT asset records within the company's IT Asset Management system. Update records for computers and other IT equipment. Maintain complete and accurate asset documentation. Coordinate with the IT team regarding asset additions, transfers, and updates. Provide finance-related support to internal departments regarding invoicing, payments, and account inquiries. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve finance-related concerns efficiently. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and reduce manual work. Support ad hoc finance and business initiatives as required. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a group or multi-entity environment. Strong hands-on experience in Accounts Receivable, invoicing, reconciliations, and general accounting. Experience supporting month-end close, audit activities, and tax compliance requirements. Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial controls, and compliance requirements. Strong Microsoft Excel and financial reporting skills. Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Work Setup & Budget Work Arrangement: Onsite Work Location: Makati Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM - 4:00 PM) Why Join Us?
