General Accountant
Job Summary We are seeking an adaptable and detail-oriented General Accountant to handle end-to-end accounting operations across our financial functions. In this versatile role, you will maintain general ledger accounts, manage day-to-day accounts payable and receivable operations, perform bank reconciliations, and assist in month-end closings. This position is ideal for an accounting professional who thrives in a varied, well-rounded corporate accounting role. Key Responsibilities Maintain general ledger accounts, prepare standard journal entries, and ensure compliance with GAAP. Oversee operational transactions, including processing incoming vendor invoices (AP) and preparing customer billings (AR). Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet account reconciliations to ensure record accuracy. Assist with the month-end close process, including accruals, prepaid expenses, and trial balance reviews. Prepare basic monthly financial reports, variance analyses, and management summaries. Assist in preparing schedules for annual tax returns and external financial audits. Collaborate across internal teams to streamline financial workflows and record-keeping systems. Qualifications & Skills Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or any related field. Experience: 2–4 years of full-cycle general accounting experience. Technical Skills: Proficiency with accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage) and strong Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables). Core Competencies: Solid understanding of GAAP, strong analytical capabilities, high data accuracy, and multi-tasking skills. Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills.
