The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing websites across three key areas: Laravel, WordPress and Shopify , with the ability to work on development, integrations, troubleshooting, performance and ongoing website maintenance. Key Requirements 1. Laravel Development - Strong hands-on experience with Laravel 11 and Laravel 12 - PHP, MySQL and API development - REST API integrations and third-party integrations - Website/backend development and troubleshooting - Performance optimisation and security best practices - Experience working with existing Laravel applications and codebases 2. WordPress - Strong experience with WordPress website development and customisation - Theme and plugin development/customisation - Custom post types, APIs and third-party integrations - WordPress migrations and website optimisation - Strong understanding of technical SEO requirements from a development perspective - Troubleshooting performance, security and compatibility issues 3. Shopify - Shopify store development and customisation - Theme customisation - Shopify apps and third-party integrations - Shopify APIs / Liquid - E-commerce functionality and troubleshooting - Performance and conversion optimisation Agency Experience — Mandatory We specifically prefer candidates with digital/marketing agency experience . The candidate should be comfortable handling multiple projects and clients simultaneously, working with designers, SEO teams, performance marketers and account managers, and delivering projects within deadlines. Responsibilities - Develop and maintain Laravel, WordPress and Shopify websites - Work on new website builds as well as existing platforms - Handle website migrations and platform changes - Develop API and third-party integrations - Fix bugs and technical issues - Improve website speed, security and stability - Work closely with SEO teams to ensure websites are technically SEO-friendly - Implement technical SEO requirements such as redirects, canonical tags, schema, sitemap functionality and indexing controls - Manage staging and production environments - Coordinate website deployment and releases - Troubleshoot hosting/server-related issues where required - Maintain clean, scalable and well-documented code Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is: - Strong technically and comfortable working independently - Hands-on rather than purely a project coordinator - Good at troubleshooting and finding root causes - Comfortable working on multiple websites - Familiar with agency deadlines and client requirements - Able to work across both development and website maintenance - Up to date with modern web development practices Laravel 11/12 + WordPress + Shopify + Agency Experience are key requirements.
