In this role, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing robust SMS gateway solutions and full-stack web applications. You will bridge the gap between complex telecom protocols and modern web interfaces, ensuring seamless, high-volume, and reliable message routing. Key Responsibilities - SMPP Integration & Management: Implement, configure, and maintain SMPP (Short Message Peer-to-Peer) client/server connections (v3.4/v5.0) with various SMS Centers (SMSC) and telecom aggregators. - Full-Stack Development: Design, develop, and deploy scalable front-end and back-end applications that interface with our SMS gateway and core business systems. - System Optimization: Monitor and optimize database queries, API performance, and message queuing systems to handle high-throughput SMS traffic. - Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to SMPP session drops, message delivery failures, and application bugs. - Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, QA engineers, and external telecom partners to deliver reliable communication solutions. - Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while adhering to best practices in software development and version control (Git). Mandatory Qualifications - Education: Must be a College Graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field. - SMPP Experience: Must have 1 to 2 years of hands-on experience specifically working with the SMPP Protocol (e.g., handling SMSC connections, parsing PDUs, managing SMPP sessions, and troubleshooting delivery receipts). - Full-Stack Experience: Must have 1 to 2 years of professional experience in Full-Stack Development, demonstrating proficiency in both front-end and back-end technologies. Technical Skills & Competencies - Backend Technologies: Proficiency in languages commonly used for SMPP and backend services (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, Go, or PHP). - Frontend Technologies: Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue.js) and standard HTML/CSS. - SMPP Libraries: Familiarity with SMPP libraries such as Cloudhopper (Java), jSMPP, node-smpp, or Python's smpplib is highly advantageous. - Databases: Solid understanding of relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis) databases. - APIs & Messaging: Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and message brokers/queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka, Redis). - Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and excellent communication skills.
