Responsibilities - Conduct vendor, source, final, FAT, and pre-shipment inspections. - Inspect gas, flame, smoke, and heat detectors, manual call points, alarm devices, and F&G control equipment. - Review purchase orders, drawings, datasheets, specifications, BOMs, and ITPs. - Perform visual, dimensional, nameplate, workmanship, traceability, calibration, and functional checks. - Verify hazardous-area and Ex-rated equipment documentation. - Review test certificates, calibration records, and quality dossiers. - Identify and report nonconformities, prepare inspection reports, and follow up on corrective actions. - Coordinate with vendors, clients, engineering teams, and QA/QC personnel. Requirements - Minimum 5 years of QA/QC inspection experience in the energy or industrial sector. - Proven Fire & Gas inspection experience. - Knowledge of gas and flame detectors, alarm systems, and F&G control equipment. - Familiarity with NFPA 72, IEC 60079, IECEx, ATEX, and project requirements. - Experience with hazardous-area equipment is preferred. - Good English communication and technical reporting skills. - Engineering degree or technical diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or a related field preferred. Preferred Certifications - QA/QC, Instrumentation, Electrical, or Vendor Inspector certification. - NACE, CSWIP, ASNT, IECEx, or other relevant certification. - Manufacturer-specific Fire & Gas training or certification. Preferred Industry Experience Oil & Gas, refinery, petrochemical, LNG, power generation, renewable energy, EPC, fabrication, or other industrial projects. Job Type: Part Time | 1099 Contractor Project Duration: TBD Note: This is a 1099 contract role – project duration may vary based on client needs Shift Hours: CURRENT PROJECT: regular day shift.
