This role involves conducting scheduled audit activities across infrastructure and industrial projects in Croatia . The position offers flexibility with call-based collaboration aligned to our audit planning calendar. Key Responsibilities - Conduct comprehensive audits against SA8000 (Social Accountability 8000) and/or SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) standards - Lead audit teams through planning, execution, and reporting phases - Assess compliance with social accountability, labor practices, health & safety, environmental, and business ethics management systems - Evaluate worker conditions , labor rights, and ethical business practices across supply chains - Document findings with detailed audit reports, non-conformities, observations, and corrective action recommendations - Communicate results clearly to project management, procurement teams, and client stakeholders - Maintain audit documentation and ensure traceability of all audit activities - Provide technical guidance on social accountability best practices and ethical compliance requirements - Support continuous improvement initiatives based on audit outcomes - Conduct worker interviews and site inspections to verify compliance Required Qualifications Mandatory - SA8000 Lead Auditor Certification (valid and current) – OR - SMETA Lead Auditor Certification (valid and current) – OR - Minimum 3 + years of hands-on social accountability and ethical audit experience Originally posted on Himalayas
