FP&A Manager (Student Living and BTR)

THE ROLE As FP&A Manager, you'll own the financial planning and analysis process for our Student Living and BTR operational assets - ensuring budgeting and forecasting are accurate, consistent and timely, and acting as the key contact for all budgeting and forecasting matters across the business. Beyond budgeting and forecasting, you'll be a genuine commercial business partner - generating insights on expenses, occupancy, room rates and revenue drivers that help the business deliver on its plans. With one direct report, you'll also lead the improvement of FP&A processes while mentoring the Senior FP&A accountant. Day-to-day you will be (but not limited to): Leading the annual budget and reforecasting process, working closely with leadership and Business Units to build accurate forecasts Preparing and maintaining short and medium-term cash flow forecasts, working with Treasury on cash management and covenant monitoring Business partnering with operational, corporate and functional teams to translate budgets into financial outcomes and challenge assumptions Preparing monthly and quarterly performance analysis, highlighting key trends, risks and opportunities Drafting quarterly management reports with detailed commentary on performance versus budget and forecast Supporting KPIs, dashboards and senior management presentations, and leading ad hoc analysis and projects as needed WHAT YOU'LL BRING CPA or CA qualified accountant with 7-10+ years' experience in similar roles Experience working in the property funds management sector preferred Extensive experience in financial modelling, budgeting and forecasting, with significant exposure to FP&A within large, complex companies Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills, including complex formulas, structured models and scenario analysis Strong experience with budgeting systems and reporting tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) Confident communicator, comfortable engaging constructively with non-finance and senior stakeholders WHY SHOULD YOU JOIN?
