Forward Deployed Engineer

About the Role

Join an early-stage B2B SaaS team building AI-powered software for certification, inspection, and compliance workflows. You will work directly with customers to understand how operations happen in practice, then turn those insights into production-ready systems.

What You'll Do

Embed with customer operations teams to learn their certification, inspection, and compliance workflows.

Run customer calls, write specifications, and build end-to-end software across frontend, backend, data, and model layers.

Take ownership of product areas and ship working software quickly, refining it through direct user feedback.

Assess customer requests and determine which needs can support broadly useful product capabilities.

Analyze customer documents and outputs to develop AI-powered workflows for scheduling, technical review, conformity assessment, field inspection, and document intelligence.

What We're Looking For

-

Three to six years of software or product engineering experience, with a track record of shipping production systems.

Full-stack development skills, including Python, TypeScript, React, Node.js, SQL, and experience with AI/ML, LLMs, document intelligence, or cloud infrastructure.

Experience building products or systems from the ground up, ideally in an early-stage startup or founding engineering environment.

Ability to work directly with customers, communicate clearly, and translate complex operational needs into robust software.

A strong academic background and solid engineering fundamentals.

-

Experience in forward-deployed engineering or customer-facing product engineering is beneficial.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: GBP 100,000 to GBP 160,000 annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
