Forward Deployed Engineer

About the Role

Join a SaaS product engineering team building AI-powered tools for certification, inspection, and compliance workflows. You will work directly with customer operations to turn real-world processes into reliable software that improves how these workflows are carried out.

What You'll Do

Work alongside customers to understand how certification, inspection, and compliance processes operate in practice.

Lead customer calls, write product specifications, and build full-stack systems from user interface through backend, data model, and AI components.

Own product areas from discovery through production delivery, collaborating directly with company founders.

Ship software quickly, observe how customers use it, and refine it based on feedback.

Use judgment to distinguish customer requests that apply broadly from those that are specific to one workflow.

Analyze customer documents and real-world outputs to develop AI-enabled workflows for scheduling, technical review, conformity assessment, field inspection, and document intelligence.

What We're Looking For

-

Three to six years of software or product engineering experience, with a record of building and shipping production systems.

Full-stack development skills, including Python backend services, TypeScript, React or a similar modern frontend framework, and data modeling.

Experience integrating AI or machine learning systems into production products, including LLMs or document intelligence.

Experience building products or systems from the ground up, ideally in an early-stage or founding engineering environment.

Comfort working directly with customers and translating operational needs into durable software.

Strong technical fundamentals and the ability to work across frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary: £100,000 to £160,000 annually. UK visa sponsorship is available.

Location

On-site, five days per week in London, United Kingdom.
