JOB DESCRIPTION – SENIOR FLORIST

(Premium Bouquets | Custom Arrangements | Retail & Event Support)

ROLE PURPOSE

To support daily floral production, maintain high-quality design standards,

execute custom orders, and assist the Head Florist in leading the florist team

while ensuring consistency, efficiency, and OPUS brand presentation.

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Florist plays a key operational role in bouquet creation, quality

control, and team support. This position bridges execution and leadership —

responsible for producing premium arrangements, guiding junior florists,

managing workflow during peak hours, and ensuring every floral product

meets OPUS luxury standards.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Floral Design & Production

• Create premium bouquets and arrangements as per brand standards
• Execute custom and VIP orders
• Maintain consistency in size, color balance, and finishing
• Support seasonal and themed collections
• Assist in developing new bouquet designs
• Perform final quality check before dispatch when assigned

1. Quality Control & Flower Care

• Inspect flowers daily for freshness
• Apply FIFO rotation

• Ensure correct hydration and storage temperature
• Remove damaged stock immediately
• Reduce wastage through smart usage planning

1. Team Support & On-Floor Leadership

• Guide junior florists on techniques and finishing
• Allocate tasks during busy periods
• Support training of new staff
• Maintain discipline and grooming standards
• Step in as acting lead in absence of Head Florist

1. Order Coordination

• Work closely with Sales Representatives on order details
• Prioritise urgent / delivery orders
• Ensure accuracy in:

– Flower selection

– Color themes

– Message cards

• Meet production timelines

1. Inventory & Cost Awareness

• Monitor flower usage
• Report shortages
• Support stock counts
• Help control wastage
• Maintain tools and workstations

• Assist in maintaining showroom displays
• Ensure bouquet presentation standards
• Support festive décor and retail setups

1. Hygiene, Safety & Compliance

• Follow hygiene SOPs
• Maintain clean workstation
• Use tools safely
• Dispose waste correctly
• Comply with food & retail safety standards

TOOLS & TECHNOLOGY

• Floral cutters, wires, foam
• Cold storage units
• Inventory tracking sheets
• Design reference boards

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
