In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of fire alarm, security, CCTV, access control, and intruder systems. Your expertise will ensure the safety and security of our clients’ premises through prompt response to system faults and service requests. Duties Respond swiftly to reactive service calls related to fire alarm systems, CCTV, access controls, Intruder systems, and other security infrastructure. Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on fire and security systems to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose system faults using schematics, system design documents, and technical manuals; execute repairs efficiently using hand tools and power tools. Install, configure, and test new hardware components such as sensors, cameras, panels, and communication devices. Interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and construction plans to facilitate system upgrades or new installations. Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and provide expert advice on system enhancements or modifications. Maintain detailed logs of service activities, repairs performed, parts used, and system status updates for accurate record-keeping. Skills Strong knowledge of computer networking principles relevant to security systems for seamless integration and remote monitoring. Mechanical knowledge applicable to hardware installation and maintenance tasks involving physical components. Experience working with computer hardware components related to security devices such as CCTV cameras and access control panels. Electrical experience including wiring, circuit troubleshooting, and understanding electrical schematics. Familiarity with CCTV systems, including camera setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and video management software. Ability to read and interpret system design documents accurately. Knowledge of Intruder alarm system setup and maintenance for comprehensive security coverage. Pay: £32,000.00-£40,000.00 per year Benefits: Bereavement leave Company pension Sick pay Experience: Security Systems: 3 years (preferred) Licence/Certification: IPAF (preferred) Work Location: On the road
